Jake and Jaxson

Outside Play

These were taken in our front yard yesterday. The weather has been great!

Introducing Jaxson...

Santa came a little early this year... he brought Jake a puppy. I couldn't resist.
Jaxson (Jax for short), Is a black Lab. It was the strangest thing, his mom was almost white and his dad chocolate! In two litters with 21 puppies total, all are black (the milk man's dog :) ). This is a bug puppy! He is the same size as Jake when he is on his knees and Jaxson is only 8 weeks old. Jake is unsure about the whole thing still. When Jaxson comes near him he curls up into a ball and buries his face into the carpet. We love him though.

Jake's First Thanksgiving

We had a quiet Thanksgiving. We over-ate over at Sharon's house and watched a movie. I attempted my first homemade apple pie and it rocked! Jake looked super cute with his spiked hair. Now he looks like a little man. Dakota got caught feeding Jake pumpkin pie on the sly (I love that picture). I've enjoyed my time off from school. I was able to catch up with my frineds and family over the break. I bought Jake his stocking and some ornaments. Santa is looking into bringing him a puppy, shhh... Only 6 more weeks and we'll be in California. We can't wait. I hope that everyone has enjoyed the Thanksgiving break, let the holidays begin!!!!!!!!!

Dinner at Chiles

We went to Chiles the other night and enjoyed a free meal compliments of a COCKROACH! That has got to be the most disgusting thing! Anyway, Jake looked super cute in the shirt his daddy sent him. I couldn't resist the pictures!

Nani Comes to Visit...

Jake's Nani (my mom) came to visit this past weekend. She was suprised at how "small town" Hugo was. But, she did think it was very pretty. Jake enjoyed time with her. We are working on saying Nani, he's not quite there yet. Nani just moved to Austin, so we are hoping to see her more often since it's just a 5 hour drive. Daddy, Auntie Kristin and Nani have come to visit so far... Where are the rest of you?! We miss everyone so much!

Our New Home

These are some pictures of our new home. It's a 3 bedroom one and a half bathroom home. It has a one car garage (my car won't fit in it) and an indoor laundry room. We have a large fenced in backyard perfect for a dog! We don't have one yet but maybe soon. There is some work to be done still. I'm doing everything I can between work, school, and Jake. It will be cute someday! Come visit us!

Almost Walking...

I got the boy a toy to help him learn to balance himself. This past week he has really taken off. Now he's looking really short. He can just about run pushing this thing, but he doesn't know how to turn it. Once he runs into anything he stands there yelling mama until I point him in a new direction. I love him at this stage, he's so fun! He is getting really rough. His favoirte thing is to body slam me. When I lay on the ground he stands up above me, puts his hands in the air and flops down (usually on my face). When his daddy comes to visit again they are going to have a lot of fun together.

Trick or Treat!

Jake just enjoyed his first Halloween! He went to daycare that day and had a party. Setina said he played hard and had so much fun. He passed right out in his favorite jumping toy. I left work a little early and picked him up for trick-or-treating. He was dressed as a spider, a costume bought by Jan. Although he is starting to walk (4-5 wobbly steps at a time), he mostly crawls.
When he crawled in this costume he looked like a dog tick. I wasn't sure what a dog tick was but everyone out here pointed it out... He had a lot of fun. Nothing scared him and everyone thought he was adorable, and he was! We got a lot of candy. Jake ate a sucker and the rest will come to the hospital for our frineds to enjoy! We wish we were there with all of our friends and family to enjoy the hoildays that are rapidly approaching. We will be thinking of all of you and I will continue to update everyone with pictures!
