Jake and Carrie

Updates from Oklahoma...
Carrie... I have started nursing school, finally. I was telling people that I was really excited to start and they couldn't understand why. I moved here for school over a year ago and until August I still had yet to begin acheiving what I came her for in the first place. Now I am 4 weeks into it. It's been really hard to juggle working full-time, school and Jake. I am learning that "it's not the quantity of time spent with Jakey, it's the quality"- Thanks mom. I've had to deal with the guilt that I do not put my son first right now (it would kill me if I let it), instead I have to work to suppot us for now and I have to finish school to support us forever. I am doing fair in school, not the straight A's I've been use to, but I'll be happy to pass. Work is good. I miss the ambulance (in California) everyday, but, working in the ER is better for me now because it's transitioning me to were I need to be by next summer. I think I just might make a good ER nurse after all...
Jake... He's getting HUGE! He's at a cool stage right now. His vocabulary is only limited my his pronunciation of words, he repeats everything we say. I love it when he's frustrated and he says GOSH! He also loves to say EWWW, NASTY- usually to bugs and boogers (although it doesn't stop him from playing with either). He learned how to forced farts and it cracks him up! Yes, I am raising a total boy. He perfers to jump off the slide platform instead of slide down the slide, he plays with fire ants, and, sticker bushes don't stop him. He still loves to ride four wheelers with Kolton (at about 2mph) and I see Santa bringing some sort of motorized toy for him this year. He is completely potty trained with the exception of night time, YEAH!!!!!!! He's got great coordination, he can swing a bat and hit a ball, throw pretty good, and, he can kick a soccer ball with ease. He's learned how to jump and bounces all over the place. He can almost ride his tricycle (maybe a month or so). He just got moved up in his daycare/learning center. He is now in the preschool class instead of the toddler class. Brains, Beauty and Brawn? A mothers dream (yes, he is my pride and joy!). Finally, he still only has two of his molars and none of his eye teeth, but, he still can eat twice as much as me! He will be 20 months on the 9th- time flies!
