As I went to post this blog entry I saw that this would be my 100th post! That means 100 updates in 2 years. Everybody has been kept well informed! Anyway it's time to do an update on Jake and I so here it goes...

Jake is SOOOO 2! he has become very independent. Everything is "me do it!". He wants to put on his clothes, he wants to buckle his car seat belts, he wants to potty by himself I have to stand at the doorway. "Me do it, mama!". He has an opinion about everything and it's usually the opposite of mine. He throws temper tantrums like nobody else. I read on the blogs of my friends with kids the same age and they tend to say "an occasional tantrum". I long for "occasional" this is almost a daily event for our household. I have tried timeout, spanking, and sending him to his room. The thing that seems to work best is a stare down. It's like animals you look them in the eye and the dominant one will come out victorious!

I have a good friend named Debbie and she has a son that she swears was just like Jake. Her take on this situation is that they have above average intelligence which causes them to get easily frustrated. He son is now 10 (I think) and she swears it gets better! Now I would love to believe that this is the case, what mother wouldn't want an intelligent child? But I think I'm paying for his fathers raising as his dads mom tells me they are very similar.

Jake does still love sports and the outdoors. Recently he was given a pair of baseball shoes that are way too big for him. He wears these shoes all over the house saying that daddy (Kenny) is going to take him to play baseball when he gets big. Now Joe would love to do this with him, but I think he will have the soccer duty, as Jake is a fan of every sport.

He is currently going through a very clinging stage. He is always on my hip if we are in the house or at someone else's house. If anyone asks him for a kiss or hug, he turns around and gives it to me instead. He sleeps in his big boy bed now. I tried this once and it was horrible, but I tried it again and he has gotten out of bed only one time! He won't even get out in the morning, he just sits there and calls me. I'm very happy about this because of our upcoming move.

Speaking of the move I have only 13 more days of school and this includes weekends and other days off!!!!!! I am so happy!!!! I have managed to stay on the Deans list, I'm not sure how?! But I am getting nervous about NCLEX as I need to pass since I have already been given a job as an RN starting June 2 (actually I'll be a GN until I pass boards). Kenny and I go to Cancun for Kari's wedding in less then one month (today officially I can say that). And Kenny will be home on May 16th, I haven't seen him since Christmas! Hopefully with a ring in hand. Last night he asked me what type of metal I wanted my ring to be made of (good sign?). I will keep an update on this as well.

Sorry for the looong post but I had some stuff to say!
