Owasso Tree and Berry Farm

Jake was very good about picking only the purple ones because the red ones were still 'babies" and needed to keep growing. He only got stuck one time during our berry picking adventure!

I picked the high ones and Jake picked the lower ones. He kept running up to people to show tem his bucket. He not very shy...

We picked 3 quarts in all, $9.00 worth of the big juicy berries!

This ws our final loot! They really were huge. Now what to do with them... I thought of Blackberry yogurt, icecream, and cobbler. Do any of you have any ideas or recipes to share? For right now they are in the freezer.

So I have graduated and spent 5 very lonely months without my Kenny and now it comes to an end! I had my last day of work on May 12th and then Kenny came home and we spent 5 wonderful, kid free, days in Cancun! I didn't even wish Jake was there once! I missed him but not so much it ruined for me. We had a blast! The weather was hot and humid, like Oklahoma, but the water was perfectly warm and beautiful. Kari's wedding was great with only very minor mishaps. The scenery was truly wonderful. I have posted more pictures on my myspace page since it's easier to post there but here are the highlights...
