Pumpkin Town

Happy Fall!!!

We passed by this Pumpkin town after soccer this weekend and stopped in... It was just another thing to do to take advantage of our new surroundings. Jake got to learn all about the different kinds of pumpkins and gourds from Kenny and I just got to sit back and watch his excitement.

He has been begging me to let him ride a horse for quite a while now so here he got his chance. He was all talk, as first. He was alittle intimated but when he realized that I would hold on to him he was the champion of the pony ride! however it should be documented that prior tp getting on the ponies he really wanted to ride the Clydesdales that were pulling the hayride!

He opted for a lttle arm painting in lew of the cheek. He got a football that he later cried about (at 4 in the morning) because his pajamas were covering it up...

There were more kinds of pumpkins then I had ever seen before!

Jake Starts Soccer

Jake started soccer 3 weeks ago. He is not that great... Everyone says he's only 2, Carrie! But really he plays every sport and plays them well, but not soccer. He would rather be playing baseball. However, that said, every week gets a little better. I think he will grow to be pretty good as soon as he slows down and starts to listen. This week was the first time he would say things to me like " mom, coach said..." All the other kids are the same age and they listen much better then my wild boy. But we are making friends and he enjoys Saturdays so that is what really counts!

Jake Plays Golf

Jake got his first set of real golf clubs. They are really cute and he's been begging for them! He's really in to it right now. He know the difference between his driver, irons, and putter. It's so funny to here him talk about like such a grown up.

I was at work when the boys went for a test run with the clubs but these are some of the shots that Kenny got. I was impressed with his swings, obviously he is 2 but still it's impressive to me.

He looked pretty tired by the end of the day but he talks about golf all the time now. And He and Kenny watch the golf channel together. Last night when I walked through the room Jake said "Mom the boy is using his driver right now!"
He starts soccer on Saturday, pray (for my sake) he likes it just as much!
